London, 30 April 2024 – Banking Circle Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Johan Bergqvist as the new Group CFO, effective as of February 2024. Johan will work closely with the Co-Founders, Anders la Cour and Laust Bertelsen, and the rest of the management team, to drive the next phase of sustained, rapid, and profitable growth.

Johan Bergqvist brings with him a wealth of experience, having significantly contributed to the growth and financial strategies of high-profile companies such as Spotify and Bolt. With 20 years of financial leadership, his key roles in these organizations have supported their transformative growth and scaling, underscoring his ability to drive success in dynamic markets.

Driven by a highly differentiated value proposition to customers, Banking Circle Group delivered another year of triple-digit revenue growth during 2023, reaching more than EUR 300 million in run-rate revenues with a positive and rapidly scaling bottom-line, while processing around EUR 550 billion in run-rate annual payment volumes.
